The Monkees

The Monkees is definitely an American situation comedy which aired on NBC in September 1966. The show follows the adventures of four young men seeking to earn a name for themselves. The show won two Emmy Awards and introduced numerous innovative film techniques that were new wave to show tv. The program ended in the conclusion of its season on Labor Day and has received a long afterlife in Saturday morning repeats and syndication, as well as overseas broadcasts.
