The Moon Embracing the Sun

Heo Yeon Woo, the thirteen-year-old daughter of a high-ranking official, travels with her mother to the royal palace to attend her brother Heo Yeom's civil service examination congratulations event. She meets Crown Prince Lee Hwon by coincidence. They fall in love, and Yeon Woo is chosen as Joseon's Crown Princess. The Dowager Queen covertly orders her death before they may marry in order to gain greater power for herself. Yeon Woo is cursed and suffers from an ailment. Everyone, even Crown Prince Lee Hwon, believes she is dead. He is heartbroken and unwilling to love again. Eight years later, the young king meets Wol, a shaman. He can't help but notice parallels between her and Yeon Woo and begins looking into Yeon Woo's death.
