Miracles
Miracles can be an American drama tv program starring Angus Macfadyen and Skeet Ulrich. Created by Richard Hatem and Michael Petroni, the series has sometimes been dubbed as a"spiritual version of The X-Files" by its founders. Following a pilot, David Greenwalt, co-creator of all Angel functioned since head writer and the show's executive producer for the remaining episodes.
Miracles follows Paul Callan, an investigator of miracles for the Catholic Church that questions his own faith after finding mundane explanations for various phenomena that are supposed. After he witnesses a real, unnatural miracle which saves his lifeonly due to his findings to be dismissed on a scarcity of signs, Paul leaves supporting the Church and can be approached by Alva Keel to combine his own organization Sodalitas Quaerito, exploring and cataloguing"unexplainable" phenomena. Along with former officer Evelyn Santos, Paul and Alva attempt to battle the impending"darkness" before it's too late.
The series premiered as part of ABC's new"Super Monday" line-up on January 27, 2003. Six episodes were aired on ABC until the chain had been canceled because of low ratings, having its final broadcast episode drawing only 5.7 million viewers around March 3 1, 2003. The series has been preempted a number of times for a rebroadcast of the documentary special Living with Michael Jackson and several times to air newsmagazine cries regarding the then-developing Iraq War, once throughout its conduct. Miracles fans, angered by the cancellation and what they watched as ABC's mismanagement of the show's Monday 10:00pm time slot, began a buff effort to regenerate the show. Fans wrote messages on napkins and sent them expecting a separate network would revives the show efforts were unsuccessful and the show didn't last past its order of thirteen episodes.
