Lead Balloon
Balloon is a British television Show produced by Open Mike Productions for BBC Four. The series was made and can be co-written by Pete Sinclair and comedian Jack Dee. It celebrities Dee a comedian whose entire life is plagued by petty annoyances, as Rick Spleen, disappointments and embarrassments. Tony Gardner, Sean Power and raquel Cassidy also star. The first series of six episodes was aired in 2006, with the first episode achieving the highest ratings for a comedy on the station. Repeats of the series were conducted using BBC 2 and BBC H D, bringing it. Another set of eight episodes aired on BBC 2 and a third series started broadcasting in November 2008. A fourth and last series started ended on 5 July and broadcast on BBC 2 May 2011 on 31.
Critics produced comparisons into the successful American comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, and comments were made about Lead Balloon's characters, specially Magda, the European housekeeper. The first series has been released on DVD at November 2007. The show's theme song is just actually a cover version of"One Way Road", written by Noel Gallagher and performed with Paul Weller.
