Judge Judy
Judge Judy is a American arbitration-based reality court show presided over by retired Manhattan Family Court Judge Judith Sheindlin. The show features Sheindlin adjudicating tiny claims disputes that are real-life within a courtroom collection. All parties involved must sign contracts, agreeing to mediation. The show is currently in syndication and spread by CBS Television Distribution.
Judge Judy, that premiered on September 16, 1996, allegedly re-vitalized the court show genre. Only two additional reality court shows it, Jones and The People's Court and Jury. Sheindlin was credited with introducing the"tough" adjudicating approach into the judicial genre, and this has resulted in several imitators. Both court shows that out-number Judge Judy's seasons, Divorce Court and The People's Court, have lasted via lives of production and changing arbiters, making Sheindlin's length .
From 2011, Judge Judy had been nominated 14 years to get Daytime Emmy awards without winning. On June 14, 2013, however, Judge Judy won its first Daytime Emmy for App on its nomination. It's the , court show that is highly-rated to win the Emmy.
