Grand Star

As of September 2007, Grand Star, or La Compagnie des Glaces in France, is a science fiction television series that has been broadcast on Space and A-Channel. It takes place 100 years after a nuclear blast on the moon caused the Earth to freeze over. The show is about the people who live on Earth and the descendants of colonists who fled the Earth before the disaster. La Compagnie des glaces by Georges-Jean Arnaud is the source material for this series. This TV show's universe inspired a 2007 release of a multiplayer strategy game. Each player fights against the other players in the game. They use their trains to get money for the control of the energy sources. Also, a video game called Transarctica was made in France and translated into English in a poor way. It was published by Jean-Marc Lofficier & Randy Lofficier in 2010 under the title The Ice Company with ISBN 978-1-935558-31-6.
