Grand Designs: The Street

Grand Designs: the road has been a epic five years in the building. Within this six-part series cameras follow the first 10 households who are building a brand new street from scratch. This radical experimentation occurs in a prime location near Bicester, just 14 miles away from Oxford and under one hour from London by train. The council bought the land by the MOD, and instead of selling it to some programmer for a profit, they've pre-approved outline intending and sold plots for around #100k eachyear. The ordinary plan for each and every house is #250,000, and every household would be currently expecting to build for under it might cost them to get in the area.
