Naota is actually just a typical Japanese 6th grade boy (although just a little suspicious ), but if his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his brother renders his 17 year old girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi has been sending mixed signs and advances to Naota, and he doesn't know what to do about her. However, to make things worse, the world of Naota is turned ugly if a woman on the Vespa runs over him. She hits him over the head with her guitar, which causes a horn. She calls herself"Haruko" and also her existence changes Naota's life to further insanity
