Faerie Tale Theatre

It's a live-action children's television anthology series that tells the stories of some of the most popular fairy tales ever written. The show's narrator, host, and executive producer is Shelley Duvall, who also appears in some episodes. Tall Tales & Legends, a follow-up to Faerie Tale Theatre, featured famous American folk tales in the same format as Faerie Tale Theatre. In both shows, well-known performers and directors are involved and were inspired by Shirley Temple's Storybook, a popular children's television show. From 1982 through1987, Showtime aired Faerie Tale Theatre. modified reruns of the show were subsequently broadcasted on Disney Channel and other networks, including as PBS and BookTelevision.
