Captain Planet and the Planeteers
Captain Planet and the Planeteers is the American animated environmentalist television program created by Ted Turner, Robert Larkin III, and Barbara Pyle, produced by Pyle, Nicholas Boxer, Andy Heyward and Robby London, Also Produced by Pyle, Boxer, Heyward, London, Thom Beers, Bob Forward, Phil Harnage along with Cassandra Schafhausen. The show was produced by Turner Program Services and DIC Entertainment and it had been broadcast in September 1-5, 1990 on December 5, 1992. A sequel show, The New Adventures of Captain Planet , was broadcast from September 11, 1993 to May 11, 1996, also was produced by Hanna Barbera and Turner Program Services. Both show continue now in syndication. The app urges environmentalism and is a sort of edutainment.
In February 2009, Mother Nature Network unreleased footage of Captain Planet and the Planeteers and began airing episodes. In September 2010 , the Planeteer Movement was started being a means for fans of this show with the help of Pyle to connect and keep on to integrate the messages of the show into their own lives as Planeteers.
