Amanda's

Amanda's is definitely an American sitcom inspired by the 1970s British sitcom Fawlty Towers. Amanda's aired on Thursday nights at 8:30 to 26 on ABC from 10 February 1983. Bea Arthur starred Amanda Cartwright, as the Primary part. Amanda was the owner of a beachfront resort referred to as"Amanda's by the Sea" whose team included her son Marty, his spoiled wife Arlene, Earl the boxer and Aldo that the bell hop. Since Maude ended in 1978 It was Bea Arthur's first return to show tv. Other stars included Leonard Stone, Jerry Stiller and Todd Susman. The series was filmed in ABC Studios before a live studio audience. Amanda's has been cancelled after a four-month run of ten incidents in May 1983. A&E network broadcast reruns of the series shortly thereafter.
