Admiral Frank Beardsley Yields to Conduct the Coast Guard Academy, his last stop before a promotion to head the Defender. A widower with eight children, he runs a tight although loving boat, with salutes and graphs. The children for a permanent home. Helen North can be a designer whose children reside in loving chaos, a soul, with bunch . High school sweethearts, Frank and helen, re connect in a reunion, and it's really love at first re-sighting. They marry on the spot. The problems start as two sets of children, the preppies that are disciplined and the free spirits have to live. The warring factions agree to work together to end the union.
