As recently single and young parents, Clara and Alex have just two different styles of parenting. While helicopter mum Clara hovers over her son Oliver, Alex's daughter Emma feels out of touch with her father's life. Both worlds collide once Alex suggests that his marketing company shoot a commercial at the kids' school and Clara, up for election as the parent's band president, objects the idea. The commercial will be for keeping the business afloat Alex's last hope, so for parent band president, '' he nominates himself in a moment of despair. president, Clara and also Alex tie in a surprising turn of events and must interact to conduct the group until the re-vote that is falsified.
