Vares: Gambling Chip

Jussi Vares falls in love with a stunning brunette – only to lose her in the most heinous manner possible. After a few weeks of dating Sole, her body is discovered in a bird-watching tower. The investigations draw to a halt when Vares offers to unravel the enigma of a jumbled collection of denunciation letters. Numerous events occur prior to the letters revealing their secret. Stahanov, a hired gun, is given an assignment. When Sole's brother discovers his wife in the arms of an inappropriate man, he goes on the rampage, followed by a black cat. Finally, the clues point to a recognizable face, and additional death is imminent.
