The Sisterhood

Ashley Shields has had a rough year, with the death of her mother, the breakup of her marriage, and being passed over for a promotion at work. So when her sister Jasmine takes her to a women's group called The Sisterhood, she is interested and hopes to feel strong enough to change her life. Ashley says that The Sisterhood, which is led by the mysterious and charismatic Desiree, does everything it says it will. She gets a raise at work, her divorce is settled in her favor, and she finally feels happy and fulfilled. But she soon finds out that the benefits of The Sisterhood come at a high, and sometimes illegal, price. As Ashley learns more about The Sisterhood and is forced to take part in its questionable activities, she realizes she is in over her head and needs to get out, even if it means losing her relationship with Jasmine or her life.
