The Last Wave

Australian lawyer David Burton will abide by reluctance to defend a set of aborigines charged with murdering one of their very own. He supposes the victim was targeted at violating a tribal taboo, but the defendants refuse any tribal association. Burton, plagued by apocalyptic visions of water, slowly understands danger may come from his or her own participation with their prophecies and the aborigines.
