The Far Country

As a golden chance, Jeff Webster sees the beginning of Klondike goldrush in 1896. . .and woe betide anybody standing in his manner! He pushes a cattle herd from Wyoming to Seattle, by ship to Skagway, and (after a delay caused by larcenous town supervisor Gannon) through the mountains to Dawson. There, he and his partner Ben Tatum get into the gold industry . Two ladies that are amazing fall for misanthropic Jeff, but he thinks at every-man-for-himself, turning his back lawlessness. . .until dwelling strikes.
