The Current

However, when the violence of the big city comes a bit too close to home, Jake's parents purchase a campsite in rural Minnesota and relocate the family there. After meeting Peter, the boy who lives across the river, Jake begins to despise his new home on the campground's grounds. Soon after, the two become great friends, and they enjoy a summer filled with adventures on the river together. Peter shares his Christian faith with Jake during one of their chats. Jake is able to assist a friend who is going through a difficult time because of his new religion.
