The Big Country

Retired sea captain Jim McKay arrives at the expanse of the West to marry fiancée Pat Terrill. McKay is a person whose values and approach to life are a puzzle into ranch foreman and the ranchers Steve Leech takes an immediate dislike for him. Pat is egotistical spoiled and controlled Major Henry Terrill, by her wealthy father. The Major is included with a rough clan headed by Rufus Hannassey, over-watering rights for cattle, at a ruthless war. Julie Maragon owns the property involved and Terrill and Hannassey desire to buy.
