Starting Over

A man who has been divorced falls in love, but he can't get over his ex-wife. His love life is funny because of this. Based on the novel by Dan Wakefield. Burt Reynolds is a good-looking middle-aged man who loses his confidence when his ambitious singer wife (Candice Bergen) dumps him. He starts to feel better when he meets a teacher who feels the same way (Jill Clayburgh). But when the wife tries to get him back by seducing him and then playing him a song that hurts like hell, he knows where his loyalty lies.
