Matt Gordon returns to Singapore after the war to retrieve a fortune in smuggled pearls. Arrived, he recalls in flashback his attractive prewar fiancée, Linda, who vanished during the Japanese attack. Now, Linda has amnesia and is married to the wealthy planter Van Leyden. Meanwhile, the villainous fence Mauribus plots to steal Matt's jewels.
