Postcards from the Edge

Substance-addicted Hollywood actress Suzanne Vale is on the skids. As a situation of continuing to hire her she live with her mother Doris Mann, herself and a champion drinker her picture provider insists after a spell at a detoxification center. Such a set-up is bad news for Suzanne who has fought for years to escape her mother's shadow, and that discovers her mother still treats her. Despite all these problems - and also other ones - Suzanne can start to see the side of her situation, and it starts to occur to her that not only do daughters have mothers, mothers do.
