Pinky

Pinky, a light-skinned black lady, graduates from a Northern nursing school and returns to her grandmother's home in the South. Pinky tells her grandmother that she has been "passing" for white in the North while attending school. Pinky has also fallen in love with a young white doctor named Dr. Thomas Adams, who is unaware of her black origins.
