Motives 2

Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore reprise their roles in this suspenseful sequel to Motives, which begins up three years after the events of the first film. Emery Simms is doing time in prison for a crime he did not commit; while the majority of convicts' claims of innocence are flimsy at best, Emery has every right to protest his unfair incarceration. Meanwhile, Emery's ex-wife (Fox) has married his best buddy, and the two are attempting to live a regular life together. When Emery is killed in prison and his brother Donovan (Brian J. White) discovers the truth about what killed his unfortunate sibling, his quest to cut through the complex web of lies and deceit that had previously ensnared Emery threatens to have deadly consequences.
