Legiony
A universal tale of attaining maturity during challenging times and maturing into the community. Józek, a deserter from the tsarist army who joins the Legions, Ola, an intelligence agent for the I Brigade and a member of the Women's League, and Tadek, her fiance and a member of Shooting Team, are the protagonists of a love story set against the backdrop of the major historical events. In addition to fictional characters whose stories were based on the biographies of actual legionnaires, the film features other historical personalities. Among them were Brigadier Józef Pilsudski, Lieutenant "King" Stanislaw Kaszubski, and many others. The film focuses on the Legion's combat route from 1914 to1916, from the departure from Oleandry to the battle of Kosciuchnowka, and shows the most dramatic cards of the legionary tale, including the renowned onslaught of uhlans at Rokitna-one of the film's most impressive scenes.
