Jodorowsky's Dune

Shot in France, England, Switzerland and the United States, this documentary covers director Alejandro Jodorowsky (El Topo, Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre) along with his 1974 Quixotic attempt to accommodate the seminal scifi book Dune into a feature film. The huge undertaking eventually fell apart after spending two decades and vast amounts, but the artists Jodorowsky constructed to the project lasted to come together. This group of artists, or his"warriors" since Jodorowsky named them, went on to specify modern scifi theatre with such films as Alien, Blade Runner, Star Wars and Total Recall.
