Based on WallStreet Journal reporter Deborah Ball's widely-read publication"House of Versace: The Untold Story of Guru, Murder, and Survival", the movie brings to light the narrative of Donatella, who, following brazen murder of her brother, world-renowned designer Gianni Versace (Colantoni) in the height of his victory, is suddenly thrust into the spotlight as head designer of his fashion empire. Initially ridiculed by critics worldwide, Donatella falls prey and bankrupts the company. With the aid of her loved ones, including daughter Allegra, Aunt Lucia (Welch) and brother Santo (Feore), she passes rehab to confront her allies and soon returns stronger than ever to reignite the beloved Versace brand using her own vision and assembles one of the very powerful and influential manner houses ever known.
