Horrors of Malformed Men

Hirosuke (Teruo Yoshida) , a medical student with almost no recollection of his last, is trapped in an asylum, despite being totally sane. After escaping from the loonybin, also being dressed for the murder of a circus girl, he spots a man, Genzaburo Komoda, to whom he bears an uncanny resemblance's photo. By pretending to have now been Hirosuke supposes the dead person's individuality, fooling everyone else, including Komoda's widow and mistress. Whilst at the Komoda household, Hirosuke remembers memories that convince him to travel to a local island Genzaburo's daddy. Whilst on the staircase , Hirosuke not only discovers Jogoro's plans to construct his'ideal community' (by transforming perfectly normal humans into hideous freaks), but also the awful truth behind his identity.
