Heat of Desire

Unrest and anarchy break out in future France. Philippe Muphand, a conservative politician, was about to assume power when his girlfriend Caroline abruptly left him and promised to start dating the first dummy she met. Professor and award-winning author Serge Laine is on his way to the railway station to purchase tickets to Barcelona, where he and his wife will enjoy a second honeymoon and where he will teach at the university. Serge is swayed by Caroline, and he soon discards his family, his career, his integrity, and even Jack London in favor of her and the murderous ideals of the former.
