Fly Me to Polaris

A young man who is blind and deaf works as an audio tape typewriter in a hospital and cultivates a loving and honest connection with a gorgeous but shy nurse. When he is killed by an automobile, he is the sixty-billionth human to perish on Earth, and he is in route to Polaris, on his way to a more advanced form of life in Vega. Given a five-day reprieve and the opportunity to reconcile with his earthly love, he is unable to reveal his true identity behind the temporary mask he must display to her. Through a series of harrowing and amazing occurrences, both the boy and the girl realize that love and good fortune have a way of sneaking into people's life when they are not greedy and least expect them.
