Ezer Kenegdo

Conflicts arise when Yisroel "Izzy" Jonigkeyt, a Chassidic Jew from Crown Heights, travels to San Francisco to visit his Polish-born Catholic friend Marek Wisniewski with the goal of determining why a Bay Area art-world iconoclast named Harry Kierk tries to ruin his entire life's work. As the visit progresses, Izzy and Marek realize for the first time how intricate past baggage affects their strange bond, and they quickly come to understand why Kierk is driven to destruction. Continued encounters with Marek's vaguely anti-Semitic cousin Irek (their only point of contact with Kierk) only exacerbate these tensions.
