Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires

Chuck Steel is the "greatest Goddamn cop on the force," according to his long-suffering captain, Jack Schitt. The year is now 1986. But even this renegade, renegade, loose cannon, lone wolf, cop on the edge, who doesn't play by the rules has his work cut out for him when the Governor of Los Angeles decides to reduce the licensing hours for nightclubs and bars, causing a sudden, unexplained rash of high-profile disappearances in the city. There is no trace of the victim at the crime scene, which is splattered in blood, during each of the disappearances. The police are baffled until one of the victims manages to escape and provides a break in the case. Chuck travels to the hospital to interview the victim but is greeted by a deranged old guy named Abraham Van Rental. He informs Chuck, who does not believe him, that a horrible plague is about to come upon the metropolis of Los Angeles: the plague of the TRAMPIRES, a mutated combination of vampire and tramp.
