Chasing Ice

When National Geographic photographer James Balog inquired,"How does one take a picture of climate change?" His focus was drawn to ice. Soon he had been asked to do a cover story on glaciers which became the very widely used and well-read bit at the magazine over the last five decades. However, for Balog, that narrative indicated the beginning of a far larger and longer-term project that will reach epic proportions.
