Becket

King Henry II of England has trouble with the Church. When the Archbishop of Canterbury expires, he has an excellent idea. As opposed to appoint yet another cleric loyal to the Church and Rome, he will appoint Thomas Becket, his drinking and wenching friend to the article. Unfortunately, Becket provides more able resistance and takes the job.
