When Eve Taylor, a teenage cellist, is kidnapped and imprisoned in a dank cellar, Police Detective Barnbrooke believes it is the work of the psychopath dubbed "The Pied Piper" by the media. But having failed to stop him for over fourteen years and with three other girls missing and assumed dead, Police Detective Barnbrooke is well aware that Eve would meet the same fate as the other Pied Piper victims if he is unable to capture his sole suspect this time. Knowing the identity of the Pied Piper is one thing, but proving it in time is an entirely different and more perilous scenario.
