Dr. Adrian Helmsley, a member of a global geophysical team investigating the influence on the earth of radiation from unprecedented solar storms, and learns that the planet's core is warming up. He cautioned U.S. President Thomas Wilson that the crust of the planet is getting shaky and that without proper preparations for saving a fraction of the world's population, the entire race is doomed. Meanwhile, the writer Jackson Curtis stumbles about exactly the information. While the world's leaders race to create"arks" to escape the approaching cataclysm, Curtis struggles to find a way to save his loved ones. Meanwhile, the volcanic eruptions and earthquakes of strength wreak havoc around the environment.
