The Last Days on Mars
On the day of this first manned mission to Mars, a crew member of Tantalus Base thinks he has generated an astonishing discovery evidence of bacterial life. Unwilling to allow of the glory is claimed by the relief crew, he goes outside on an expedition and disobeys orders to package up to collect further samples. But when the earth collapses a routine excavation turns to tragedy and he drops into a death. His colleagues try to recoup his entire body. However, when a person fades, they start to assume that the life form they've discovered is not without danger.
