Kick the Moon follows two small-town high school students. One is a combatant in a famed street brawl with a rival school, while the other is a nerdy wimp who prefers to study and is one of the only pupils who does not participate in the fight. Years later, the punk has evolved into a high school teacher, while the nerd has evolved into a mafia underboss who has returned to his hometown to establish operations. The film centers on two men's battle for the affections of a local lady restaurant owner, as well as rival gang group battling in the small town.
