Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie
Set in a futuristic Japan after the finish of a world warfare, science has progressed giving humanity the decision to prolong life and reduce distress with the use of complex cybernetics. With all of humanity linked into one system of characters and thoughts the greatest threat to culture may be that cyber terrorists capable of imitating memories and people's bodies. Major Motoko Kusanagi and her elite team of special operatives are called in to monitor its origin, when a virus begins spreading through the machine leading to the assassination of the Western Prime Minister. As they delve deeper and deeper in their investigation, they uncover traces of government corruption and a shadowy broker that bears an face. The movie can be a continuation to the storyline of Arise's Pyrophoric Cult bout, and ties up loose ends from arc.
