The Story of Adele H.

Adèle Hugo, daughter of French writer Victor Hugo, falls in love with soldier Albert Pinson while living in exile from the shore of England. Though he spurns her affections, she takes on Adèle Lewly's alias and follows him. Albert proceeds to reject her, but she remains obsessive in her quest to win him .
