The Island of Lies

January 2, 1921, in Galicia, northern Spain. The steamer Santa Isabel sinks off Sálvora Island with almost 200 people aboard. Three island women, Mara, Josefa, and Cipriana, set sail aboard a rickety skiff to save the shipwrecked. Cynical authorities treat them as heroes, but an inquisitive Argentinean journalist starts asking difficult questions.
