The Barbarian Invasions

In this sequel to'The Decline of the American Empire', Remy, 50-something Montreal college professor, learns that he is dying of liver cancer. He decides to make amends meet to family and his friends until he expires. He tries to left peace with his ex-wife Louise, who requests his eponymous son Sebastian, a prosperous business man living in London, to come home. Sebastian makes the impossible happen, using his connections and interrupting the entire Canadian network in every way possible to assist his daddy struggle his terminal illness into the bitter end, '' he also tries to reunite his former friends, Pierre, Al Ain, Dominique, Diane, along with Claude to see his old friend before he moves on.
