Swallow

Hunter (Haley Bennett), on the surface, looks to have it all. An expectant housewife, she appears delighted to spend her time cleaning and cooing over her Ken-doll of a spouse (Austin Stowell). Her carefully crafted façade begins to crumble under the weight of her dominating in-laws and her husband's unreasonable demands. There is a dark secret from Hunter's background that comes out in the form of her developing an illness called pica, which causes her to compulsively ingest inedible and often deadly objects. SCROLL DOWN chronicles one woman's breakdown as she strives to restore her independence in the face of an oppressive society by any means necessary.
