Spring Eddy

Eddy is a small-time Chicago crook with a knack for ill-conceived plans. After robbing his boss, Eddy flees to Mexico, but is distracted along the route by a gorgeous hitchhiker. What started as an innocent tryst ends with Eddy bruised, battered, and impoverished in Wynot, TX. After seeing a murder committed by Willet Nash, the county's all-powerful Sheriff, Eddy attempts to hold up a bank and flee, but his bumbling plot backfires and he is apprehended by Nash himself. Eddy's sole hope of escaping jail alive is his fiancée Jeannie, whom he abandoned at the altar in Chicago.
