Save the Cinema

Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theatre in Carmarthen, Wales, launched a campaign in 1993 to save the Lyric Theatre from collapse. They recruited the support of Steven Spielberg, along with then-Mayor of Carmarthen Richard Goodridge (the film switches this position to a local councillor), to get a special premiere of Jurassic Park.
