Monster Beach

When Jan and Dean are sent to stay with their absentee uncle Woody, an average summer vacation turns into a nightmare. Perfect: quiet island, amazing surf, and an adult in control who is calm and collected. What is better? But why is it so deserted? Why is the town surrounded by jungle and the beach making odd noises? The inhabitants are in fact surf-crazed monsters who don't like tourists and don't speak English. At least not at first. Everything changes when a rogue property developer arrives. As everyone rallies to defend their unusual little house, sibling rivalry and genetic differences dissolve.
