Mary and Martha

Wealthy American house wife Mary Morgan takes son George was bullied by her out of school for home education,for example a trip to Southern Africa. Whilst in Mozambique George is bitten. After his funeral at home Mary feels a compulsion to return to Africa where she meets English woman Martha O'Connell,whose son Ben, a teacher having service overseas,has died of malaria. Ben gave his net one of his students,believing adults cannot catch malaria. Both women are astonished to observe the high death rate and,Mary petitions the government to change things whilst Martha stays being a voluntary helper. Martha helped by the ex-diplomat dad of Mary and, turns up at Mary's house unannounced,they also address a senate committee on health spending. They meet with a few success though a coda says that more may be done.
