Marius

"Marius" Occurs in Marseilles' Old Port, at the Manhunter Marine Bar, Possessed by César and his son Marius. Marius' dream is to set about one of those ships passing by his daddy's pub and to place off into some faraway land. A pretty and new seafood peddler, fanny, has been since her childhood in love with Marius. Marius, never recognizing it, has always loved Fanny. One day, there falls a sailor by La Marine and offers him a project on an ship. Attempting to carry off him and to make him jealous, Fanny confesses his love to him and provokes a fight between Marius and one of César's elderly friends, Panisse, a boat merchant, who despite his senior years, has been courting Fanny for a little while. Torn between also his love for her along with the call of the sea, Marius abandons his dream to be using Fanny who lends him herself. Marius changes his head, attracted straight back into the call of the sea, as the mum of Fanny, Honorine and César, are becoming ready for the wedding.
